Creators have earned over $100K in the OpenAI GPT Store

We recently hit an important milestone: over $100,000 in creator earnings. This is the subscription revenue creators have earned by installing GPT Tools to set up a paywall for their customised chatbots in the OpenAI GPT Store.

A huge congratulations to the amazing creators in the Top Road community—you guys saw the potential early, and you deserve every success!

Of course, this is just the start.

We understand that a lot of content creators are still on the fence about AI, and we empathise. It’s wild that AI companies can train on your original work that you have shared online, whether that is a recipe you painstakingly developed or an online course you put together based on your many years of experience in a particular field.

Our mission is to give content creators a platform to make AI work for you financially. In addition to GPT Tools which is designed for the OpenAI GPT Store, we are excited to announce we will soon be launching our own platform for creators to build and sell AI-powered apps based on your own content that has creator monetisation at its core. Like Substack, but for paid AI apps.

We look forward to the freedom to experiment with non-chat interfaces, better tool calling (i.e. all the non-AI stuff that makes apps useful such as the ability to add an event to your calendar or open up a Word Doc) and add features to make the apps better with use (memory, notifications, scheduling, tasks etc) to increase customer retention.

For example, say you have a popular SQL course on Udemy. On Top Road, you will be able to convert that information into an app where someone can not only ask questions about the course content to learn about SQL as a programming language, but also enable them to connect to a database so they can execute that SQL query and pull data they want directly.
