Q&A

1. What motivated you to create a custom GPT? I had a specific need to learn something new in the fastest way possible without having to engage lots of experts or read volumes of Acts. I figure this can be achieved by creating my own GPT. From there, the My MC Buddy GPT was born and it has fulfilled my needs very much since day one.

2. Which custom GPT are you most proud of and why? My MC Buddy as it helped me to become quite proficient in a new field (property management) as I was elected as the Management Committee chairman of my condominium complex in Shah Alam, Malaysia.

3. Who are the target users for your custom GPT? Folks who are like me, maybe they are investors or owners of apartments / condominium buildings who are interested in becoming committee members (JMB or MC) and serving their communities better.

4. What was the process to develop it? I started by exploring what needs to be done in order to customize ChatGPT with the domain knowledge. I knew that ChatGPT 3.0 has a lot of knowledge, but I had to subscribe to Chat GPT 4.0 in order to create my custom GPT and update it with domain-specific knowledge.

5. How do you promote your GPT to get more users? Recently I discovered a Facebook group focusing on JMB and MC discussions, so I posted the link there with the help of a friend. I have also shared it with the Management Corporation members as I don’t know how else we can promote the use of it and may need your help.

6. What are your goals for your custom GPT? Help other users in the same predicament as I was.

7. Do you have any tips for other GPT builders who want to develop custom GPTs? Create something useful for you, and hopefully others will find it useful too!

8. How do you see the market for custom GPTs evolving in the next 12 months? Towards more automation with intelligence for the masses.
