Q&A
1. How many custom GPTs have you built? I have developed numerous custom GPTs, but three of them are particularly popular and frequently used.
2. What platforms do you publish your custom GPTs on? I exclusively publish my custom GPTs on the standard [Open AI] GPT store.
3. Which custom GPT are you most proud of and why? I’m most proud of my “Job Search” GPT. It is widely used and significantly helps people find job offers tailored to their needs quickly.
4. What was the process to develop it? I created the “Job Search” GPT out of a personal need and then decided to publish it. The development process involved consolidating all job offers into one place, which was the biggest challenge. The entire process required some new skills and took a considerable amount of time, although I did not specifically consult users beforehand.
5. What are your goals for your custom GPT? My primary goal is to reach a chat count of 100k.
6. How do you promote your GPT to get more users? I don’t actively promote my GPTs; their usefulness allows them to promote themselves.
7. How often do you look at the analytics related to your custom GPT? I review the analytics 2–3 times a week to check the ranking and ratings.
8. How do you monetize your GPTs? I set the pricing based on what I believe the GPT is worth and to cover my costs, ensuring I don’t have to pay for expenses out of pocket. The user response has remained positive since I started charging for the service [by installing GPT Wallets].
9. What’s your biggest roadblock for growth? My biggest roadblock is not having enough time to dedicate to further development and promotion.
10. Do you have any tips for other GPT builders who want to monetize their custom GPTs? Don’t make it too expensive, and ensure you check for loopholes in your GPT instructions so your paywall is secure.
11. How do you see the market for custom GPTs evolving in the next 12 months? I believe it will grow significantly as OpenAI has announced plans to open the custom GPT market to non-premium users as well
